Goldernrod is a late summer blossom and produces a darker than usual honey. It can be used in most applications and has a robust, earthy, flavor. Some say it has a hint of spice but it is certainly not bitter. Mead makers tend to enjoy using this honey when brewing apple cider (or cyser).
