Propolis is made by the bees from tree resins, beeswax and many other components. The bees use it as glue around the hive to seal up gaps as well as a powerful antiseptic.
We collect the proplis by scraping it off various surfaces inside the hive. While we try to only collect propolis, the ocassional other aticle may also be included such as beeswax and a bee or two.

I used Gardner Bees’ propolis scrapings after noticing a cold coming on: I chewed a lentil-sized piece for around 30 minutes and experienced only slight numbness at the tip of my tongue (any larger amount might have stronger effects). The propolis is of exceptional quality and very fresh: it isn’t the least bit bitter and has a warm, pleasant flavor. My cold ended up being short with very mild symptoms, which is uncommon for me. It seemed to help my throat feel better also. Highly recommended!
